| Mercy Ministries - helping the poor |
|
The number one passion of Chris Franz is to reach the lost. The word of God says in Proverbs 22:9 "A generous man will himself be blessed, for he shares his food with the poor." James 1:27 says; "Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world." Ev Chris Franz believes, that showing the love of Christ in deeds of mercy is close to the heart of God. "Touch their needs and you will touch their hearts." We believe that it must underline our evangelistic outreach. We do not allow our mercy ministry to be a "gimmick" or tool to manipulate people to comply with the Gospel. It must come out of a Godly heart of mercy for people. With your help, we have been able to: - minister new life and hope to prisoners in one of the toughest jails in Africa; New life and hope to prisoners in one of the toughest jails in Africa;
blankets and food to refugees in Goma, Congo;
start a business for widows in Kihancha, Kenya
clothe and feed refugees in Nakuru, Kenya
We also got a chance to minister to the displaced children, some who had lost their whole families. There were children scattered everywhere, but we managed to gather about 1000 of them in one place. It was a great joy to minister to them with dramas, competitions and the word of God. For a moment we were able to get their minds off the hurt and focus on HIM, Jesus, who can change all things. provide HIV/AIDS education wherever we minister in Africa In some parts of East Africa, every third person is infected with HIV/AIDS! One young man close to Lake Victoria pleaded with me saying: “Evangelist, please pray for us! Every week I am attending a funeral because my extended family is just dying away!” BUT… we do not just inform the public about AIDS. When these people are faced with the reality of death in the movie, we have the perfect platform to preach the Good News! There is hope in Jesus Christ! We are activly doing this almost everywhere we go in Africa. Do you want to help? |
